Job Brief

We are looking for aGrocery Clerkto join our team and help customers find what they are looking for while shopping in the store. Grocery Clerks will act as the first point of contact at this store by providing shoppers with information about products offered in the store.

A Grocery Clerk’s responsibilities include maintaining a clean work environment, organizing food displays, and stocking shelves with products for customers to buy. They will also deliver a high level of customer service to shoppers.

Ultimately, you will work directly with customers and complete various tasks around the store to keep the shopping area clean and organized throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve to assist with purchasing decisions
• Providing excellent customer service
• Ensuring the store is clean, safe and ready for shoppers
• Process customer orders and payments
• Stock and replace products to avoid any damages
• Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
• Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled
• Order out-of-stock products

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Grocery Clerk or similar role
• Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus
• Great attention to detail
• Good communication and people skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
