ER Nurse

An Emergency Room Nurse (ER Nurse) is a medical professional who aids patients in an  emergency situation, performs minor surgeries when necessary and treats patients who have experienced critical injuries or allergic reactions.

Job Brief

We are looking for anER Nurseto join our team and provide first-line care to patients who are admitted to our emergency room.

ER Nurse responsibilities include assisting Doctors with emergency medical care, addressing patient injuries and providing a high quality of nursing standards at all times.

Ultimately, you will work directly with Doctors and patients in a fast-paced and highly stressful environment to ensure patients receive the medical attention they need.

Responsibilities

  • Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions and trauma
  • Being ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency
  • Quickly assessing patient needs
  • Perform minor medical operations with Doctors
  • Clean wounds and reset bones for patients who enter the Emergency Room
  • Draw blood to send for testing
  • Maintain Emergency Room care standards
  • Assist with insurance paperwork as needed
  • Ensure the efficiency of the patient check-in process
  • Display strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an ER Nurse or similar role
  • Able to work under high-pressure
  • Attention to detail to quickly determine the medical needs of patients
  • Good organizational skills to ensure the ER has essential supplies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as an ER Nurse
