A drafter works closely with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs. They calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements, and create detailed designs using CAD software. They also prepare diagrams, maps, and layouts to illustrate workflow and review rough sketches with the engineering team. Drafter’s responsibilities include identifying potential operational issues, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards, and creating manuals that describe product operation, features, and maintenance.

We are looking for a Drafter to work with our team ofArchitectsandEngineersand convert designs into technical plans.

As a Drafter, your responsibilities will include liaising with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements, calculating dimensions and material specifications, and creating detailed designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our technical plans with regulations and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a Drafter, proficiency in CAD software, familiarity with 3D modeling tools, good math skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Describing production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college
  • Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus
